Master's Intense study programme drama

Prerequisites for admission usually are the university entrance qualification (Abitur or equivalent academic qualification as per Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetz) and the passing of an entrance examination.    The examination is first preceded by an aptitude test.


The master's programme includes a normal period of 8 semesters. Of these, the first four semesters are completed directly at the HMT, while the students of the 5th until 8th semester practise in studios of renowned theatres (currently Schauspielhaus Leipzig, Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, neues theater halle).
