The scholarship programme
The federal government's Deutschlandstipendium programme provides financial support to particularly talented and committed students. The Deutschlandstipendium scholarship can be used to support talented students of all nationalities at state and state-recognised universities, regardless of their income, whose previous academic achievements are expected to be outstanding.
In addition to previous school and academic achievements, social commitment and special personal achievements - such as successfully overcoming challenges in one's own educational biography - are also taken into account.
The amount of the scholarship is €300 per month. Half of the scholarship funds are financed by private donors in accordance with the German Scholarship Act. The other half of the money for the scholarship is then paid by the federal government (so-called matching fund model).
