Everything about tuition fees

Tuition fees are only charged for certain groups of people or types of study programmes. This is defined in the HMT Leipzig fee regulations. Tuition fees must be paid by the end of the semester in which they are due. At the beginning of the semester, you will receive a notice of fees and, approximately four weeks before the end of the payment period, an invoice with the exact bank details and the reason for payment.

The payment deadline for tuition fees is always at the end of the current semester (non-EU fees, second degree fees, guest students with individual tuition, long-term fees, NFK fees)

The exact deadline can be found on the HMT Campus Payments tab or on your invoice.

You have the option of appealing against the fee within one month of notification. The appeal has no suspensive effect on the payment of the fee.

Documents to be submitted

• Fully completed and signed application form

• Proof of your own average income and expenditure over the last 3 months, as well as cash assets and credit balances in € amounts. (see list in the application form)

• Proof of the income and financial circumstances of the parents or the spouse or civil partner liable for maintenance in accordance with the Civil Partnership Act (see list in the application form), only relevant for applicants up to the age of 25.

If the application documents are not in German, English, Ukrainian or Russian, a translation must be enclosed.
